King of Hearts Life Enhancement Services was founded by Dr. Tara King, (EdD, MA, LCADC, LPC, ACS) in 2000. Dr. King obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Sioux Falls in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and continued on to obtain her Master of Arts degree in Counseling from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia.

In 2002, Dr. King received her Doctor of Education degree in Administration from Nova Southeastern University in Miami, Florida. Additionally, she became a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC). She also became a certified Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a certified Substance Awareness Coordinator (SAC).

Dr. King went on to secure a Master of Arts degree in Special Education from New Jersey City University. She has been a professional in the mental health and substance abuse fields for over 30 years. Tara became a committed believer and follower of Jesus Christ after she met her most influential teacher.
